The (less) brutal update
So, I lied about the performance update coming in 0.7.2. Basically I need to switch the game to an object pooling system for the bullets so I’m not spinning up and destroying so many objects. But this will have to come later. It’s still serviceable on-device so it can wait a bit longer. I have some other optimizations I can make first. Until then 0.7.2 includes the following changes…
- Added a new elf sprite into the game
- Added a new enemy, the reindeer! He is very angry.
- Did some balancing on the elf to reduce his fire rate and damage output
- Additional ground work for generator changes
- Changed compression settings for certain assets to make them look cleaner on-screen
There is still one bullet pattern I implemented but haven’t used, so there is a chance I add one more regular enemy. I will probably save it for the mini boss though. Don Eso!

Need to add Health. Maybe something festive, like Fruit Cake. :)
Also, it'd be nice to be able to dash with the right analog stick R3 button as well as the Left.
So excited for this version. Testing now.
